Julie Chen Moonves hosted the popular reality TV show in the summer of Big Brother which returned to CBS for its 22nd season on the 5th of August. Chen Moonves had been the first of The Talk's hosts, hosting and moderating The Talk since 2010 to the year 2018, when she was the host. Her writing background was evident before she became a host, but her desire was to write. In fact, it brought the show an Emmy. Also, she won one Emmy award for outstanding host of a talk program. She co-hosted the CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 and 2010. Her prior roles included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Following the 9/11 attacks, she was sent to Cairo and tracked down the lead hijacker's father for an intense and shocking interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. She also spoke with ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves has also worked with the network's New York City station WCBS as a reporter anchor and anchor (1997-1999). Prior to joining CBS News at the beginning of 1995 Chen Moonves had been as a reporter at WDTN TV Dayton. Previous jobs included working as a reporter with ABC NewsOne, the network's affiliated news service (1992-1995) and a desk-assistant for the ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) as well as she was finishing her final year in university in the University of Southern California. She was a desk attendant in ABC News' Nightline program with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is as one of her journalist idols. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker on Anatomy of a Riot (the primetime special that won the Columbia du-Pont award and focused on how the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
