Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI instances. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the year Award to the entire South Carolina media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. The present role of O'Dell as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's reported on The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She co-hosted both The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
